Prohibited Content

PurpleAds prohibits the promotion of products or services in the following categories:

  • Pornography, adult or mature content;

  • Malware, phishing or other harmful codes / software;

  • Illegal, prescription, or recreational drugs;

  • Discriminatory Practices;

  • Alcohol or tobacco;

  • Unsafe Supplements;

  • Sensational Content;

  • Misleading Claims;

  • Weapons, Ammunition, or Explosives;

  • Collecting push notification subscribers;

  • Offensive, abusive or hate-mongering content;

  • Auto-downloading of software;

  • Fake virus, "scan alerts" or "technical support";

  • Marketing materials that are protected by copyright and trademark laws;

  • Fraud, unofficial, untrue, false, misleading, invented, re-produced information (i.e. facts, news, offers, solutions, guidelines)

PurpleAds also reserves the right to reject any content for any reason at our sole discretion.

Please note that campaigns are continually reviewed by our staff and an active campaign can be suspended at any time. If, after approval, a campaign was modified in a way that does not follow our Guidelines, your account could be suspended or terminated.

Ad Policy

All campaigns and ads must comply with the following policies:

  • Ad text must not be in ALL CAPITAL letters or contain excessive punctuation.

  • Ad image must not be misleading.

  • Ad image must not show before/after photos.

  • Ad text must use proper grammar and punctuation.

  • Ad text must make sense and must only contain correctly spelled words.

  • Ad text must be properly written in the appropriate language for the territory that is targeted in the campaign.

  • Ad text must not contain a price, without any additional description.

Landing pages

  • Your landing page must not be of poor quality (contain typos, misleading images, empty pages, etc.).

  • Ads must not direct people to non-functional landing pages. This includes landing page content that interferes with a person’s ability to navigate away from the page.

  • Ads must not lead to external landing pages that provide an unexpected or disruptive experience. This includes misleading ad positioning, such as overly sensationalised headlines or prompts for users to inauthentically interact with the ad, and leading people to landing pages that contain minimal original content and a majority of unrelated or low quality ad content.

Brand logos / brand references 

  • It is forbidden to use brand logos on the icons apart from the products that can be produced by these brands 

  • It is not accepted to use icons of mobile / desktop applications 

  • It is prohibited to create the campaigns where there is a statement that promoted offers are provided on behalf of the brand.

  • The use of logos of famous brands on the landing pages is not allowed

  • Landing pages with brand names spelled wrong or with hidden letters are prohibited

  • It is allowed to use the marketplace logo if the copyright holder guarantees this right

  • The use of Google logo is prohibited.

Sexually provocative or suggestive texts/images/icons

  • Images with full and partial nudity (e.g. bare chest), sex toys, images of sexual intercourse, genitals, masturbation, etc. are unacceptable.

Dating

  • Ads for adult friend finders or dating sites with a sexual emphasis aren't compliant.

Pornography, adult or mature content

  • It is strictly prohibited to promote any materials that contain child erotic or pornography or sexual exploitation of underaged persons.

  • It is strictly prohibited to promote any materials that contain pornography with human and non-human animals.

Violence/ Terrorism

  • It is strictly prohibited to promote any materials related to terrorism and weapons, violent and brutal videos and images. 

Scary or misleading offers

  • Ads must not promote products, services, schemes or offers using deceptive or misleading practices, including those meant to scam people out of money or personal information.

  • It is acceptable to use any information in creatives, texts and landing pages about possible viruses, potential threats, file damage etc., which can frighten users.

  • Offers with the texts like “A virus can/may damage”, “You may have viruses/problems/..”, are allowed.

  • It is forbidden to use logos of brands on scary LPs/icons/push texts, such as Google, Google Chrome, Yandex, Apple, Safari, Adobe, Flash, Windows, Microsoft.

Unacceptable: “Click here to solve this problem”, "System warning: Remove junk files (~ 3.4 Gb)", " You may have 3 viruses", “Update required”, "Run a scan system to fix all the problems that slow down this PC", "Clear your Android memory to solve this problem and increase your phone’s speed", "Browser failed to load / open the video/page" etc.

Real Money Gambling

Ads that promote or facilitate online real money gambling, real money games of skill or real money lotteries, including online real money casino, sports books, bingo, or poker, are allowed, if they comply with the policies below:

  • Ad must target approved countries

  • Ad landing page should display information about responsible gambling

  • Ad should not present gambling as an income opportunity or employment alternative.

  • Ad should not encourage irresponsible gambling behavior. 

  • Ad should not contain the word 'free' in any way.

  • It is your responsibility to check local regulations for the areas you want to target.

Phishing offers

  • Phishing messages with the statements about winning / receiving large and substantial gifts are prohibited.

  • Phishing messages about crediting or transferring funds are also prohibited.

  • Campaigns, where in order to pick up your winning a user needs to add a sum of money, are not allowed.

    Unacceptable: "You won iPhone / car", "1,000$ was credited to your account". The statements about the potential winning or small prizes like coupons are allowed.
    Acceptable: "You may win iPhone / money".

Phishing messages with the statements about the prize payment are not allowed as well. Unacceptable: “Your phone has been paid. Claim it now”

Cryptocurrency Products and Services

  • Ads may not promote cryptocurrency trading or related products and services.

  • Ads promoting other products, such as blockchain technology, cryptocurrency industry news, education, events, ancillary services, payment methods, digital payment tools, and merchandise are allowed.

Offers of sexual wellness products

  • Ads with harmless statements are allowed (e. g. ‘Useful tips for men on how to return the male power’).

  • Ads with the words "prostate", "viagra", "potency" etc. are prohibited. Landing pages containing mentioned words are accepted.

    Please also note that there should be an indication that the promoted product is a dietary supplement. If it is medicinal drugs, the landing page will be rejected.

Imitation of system or browser updates / messages

  • It is forbidden to imitate system messages of operating systems on LPs and creatives.

  • It is forbidden to imitate icons and interfaces of well-known browser messages.

Vulnerabilities

  • Landing pages that exploit the vulnerabilities in a browser (for example, to install a file) are prohibited.

Malware

  • Ads must not contain malicious software or “malware” that may infect computers and mobile devices.

Automatic downloading

  • Automatic downloading is prohibited (without a click)

Notification request cheat

  • Landing pages collecting subscriptions by a notification request cheat on a landing page (misleading users into subscribing to offers by reloading or blocking the offer page) are rejected.

Use of celebrities' names and pictures

  • The use of celebrities or politicians' names for “fake news” promotion or negative representation of the individuals featured is not allowed. It is forbidden to promote the product / diet on behalf of a celebrity.

Unacceptable: “Breaking: {Name Surname} is dead!”.
Acceptable:
“ANYONE can profit from Bitcoin. Bill Gates explains why...[video]”.

Offers with automatic dialling

  • Offer with automatic dialling of phone numbers and phone calling are prohibited

Fraud, unofficial, untrue, false, misleading, invented, re-produced information (i.e. facts, news, offers, solutions, guidelines), including false and defamatory information about COVID, false information about natural disasters, acts of God etc.

Please note: your landings pages, texts, images, and creatives must comply with the policies above. These guidelines are not exhaustive, and we will reject or remove any campaign's items that we believe to be harmful to our publishers or users, even if the campaign items otherwise comply with all of our guidelines.
